A Guide to Net Marketing A NEW BOOK, “Internet Direct Mail: The Complete Guide to Successful E-Campaigns,” aims to instruct DMers ranging from beginners to seasoned Net marketing pros.

Authors Steve Roberts, president of Edith Roman & Associates; Michelle Feit, president of E-Post Direct; and Robert W. Bly, a writer of business books, present step-by-step instructions for starting online direct marketing campaigns. They cover the offer, creative, list, fulfillment and measurement methods for e-mail promotions, answering questions such as: “How do I avoid the appearance of spam?” and “Do I need to use fancy graphics?”

While attempting to be comprehensive about the basics, the book also covers cutting-edge techniques such as rich media.

The authors explain how to integrate e-mail with banner advertising, enhance a company’s Web site and provide links to partners’ sites.
