BMG Music Service has chosen New York-based List Management Services to manage a new database of buyers who made their purchases with credit cards.
The files include the 2 million-name Internet Credit Card users; 1.5-million Single Order Credit Card users; and the 263,310 Continuous Credit Card users. The 3.36-million-name Joined Via the Internet list is also offered.
The cost is $105 per thousand.
This is an audience of music lovers who have joined BMG music club and ordered their tunes on compact disc. These continuity buyers appreciate direct-response shopping with their credit card in hand.
Selections include six-month hotline, change of address, source, dollar selects and state/SCF/ZIP.
The average unit of sale is $75.
The sources are direct mail, space ads and opt-in Internet gathering of records.
