Big Lots last week named Steven Fishman president-CEO of the retail chain.
Fishman is credited with turning around discount chain Pamida, Frank’s Nursery & Crafts, and Rhodes Furniture, where he is now president-CEO.
He replaces Michael Potter, who announced his resignation in January in order to move his family back to the West Coast. Potter also will resign from the board of directors at Columbus, OH-based Big Lots when Fishman arrives, probably in early July.
