Baja Fresh Mexican Grill has named Jerry de Lucia as the company’s director of marketing. The post went into effect this month.
In his new role, de Lucia will oversee marketing operations to expand the company’s strategy. He replaced Meade Wildrick, who left the position after four months on the job.
Prior to joining Baja Fresh, de Lucia worked at Catalina Restaurant Corp., which operates Coco’s and Carrow’s restaurants.
Baja Fresh operates 292 restaurants nationwide. It positions itself as a fast casual fresh Mexican chain.
Wendy’s International Inc. sold the chain last October for $31 million to a consortium of investment groups led by David Kim. The group owns a number of national brands, including Sweet Factory, Cinnabon, KaBloom, and Denny’s.
