Alliance Data Systems to Acquire Abacus

(Direct Newsline)—Alliance Data Systems Corp.’s Epsilon unit will acquire Abacus from DoubleClick Inc. for $435 million.

Abacus furnishes data management and analytical services primarily for catalogers and retailers.

Abacus’ approximately 525 employees will be integrated into Epsilon and its services will continue to carry the Abacus name.
