Haddad Apparel Group plans to enter into an exclusive three-year retail agreement with the Arena Football League to design, market and manufacture AFL branded apparel and accessories for kids.
The agreement will commence with Spring 2005 shipments. Haddad plans to market apparel, headwear, accessories, and sleepwear in several AFL markets for the initial season.
Glenn Horine, executive VP of AFL Properties, said in a statement that the addition of Haddad fills a void in the league’s product line and will provide the clothing manufacturer with a strong foundation at market level.
In other AFL news, the league said it set a total-attendance record with 1.9 million fans attending regular-season and postseason games in 2004. The total marks an increase of 21% percent over the previous mark of 1.6 million set in 2003.
