The American Egg Board has named The J. Brown Agency, Stamford, CT, to handle post-Easter retail marketing this year.
The Park Ridge, IL-based board will test in-store events and local media that position eggs as a meal solution or a source of protein to drive traffic to dairy departments.
The April-May test will cover 10 to 12 cities. Egg consumption typically falls after Easter until early summer.
“Egg producers are looking for ways to smooth out the traditional product-purchase valley that follows Easter’s spike,” said board President-CEO Louis Raffel in a statement.
