General Mills will salute 25 breast-cancer survivors in its Yoplait Champions program, part of Yoplait’s ongoing support of breast cancer research.
Mills, The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and Self Magazine this week opened the nomination process for Yoplait Champions, who get a $1,000 donation in their name to the charity of their choice and a profile in the May 2007 issue of Self.
This is the third year since 2002 that the partners have run Yoplait Champions. The Sept. 18-Nov. 6 nomination period coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) and dovetails with Yoplait’s nine-year-old Save Lids to Save Lives fundraising campaign, which gets an extra push this year (PROMO Xtra, Aug. 28, 2006).
