Craig W. Rydin, chief executive officer of Yankee candle, was appointed chairman of the board of directors. Rydin succeeds Michael J. Kittredge, the company’s founder, as chairman.
Kittredge has been named chairman emeritus and will continue to actively participate with, and provide advice and counsel to the board, according to the company.
Yankee Candle also appointed Michael F. Hines to its board. Hines is chief financial officer and chief administrative officer at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Inc. Hines was also named to the company’s audit committee.
