Virgin Mobile USA has hired Alcone Marketing Group to handle the launch of Switch_Back mobile phone, and other campaigns.
Alcone will handle consumer promos and account-specific retail for Switch_Back, which targets teens and young adults.
Switch_Back, a two-screen phone with full keyboard for e-mail, texting and instant-messaging, includes exclusive content from MTV (games, ringtones, Total Request Live clips) and Comedy Central (voicemail greetings, show clips).
“Alcone’s understanding of our target, competition and retail environment generated inventive programs that are a perfect fit for Virgin Mobile,” said Virgin Mobile USA’s Director of Channel Marketing Geraldine Morrison in a statement.
Alcone will handle the business from its Darien, CT, office.
