Trans Cosmos to Buy Stake in DoubleClick Japan

Trans Cosmos Inc., a IT service provider in Japan, has made an offer to gain majority ownership in DoubleClick Japan, or 62% of the voting shares.

The offer, at 38,261 Japanese Yen per share, represents a 37% premium over the 30-day average closing share price of DoubleClick Japan, which is traded on the Japan New Market, the companies said.

DoubleClick Japan has also signed a long-term agreement with DoubleClick Inc. New York to continue to sell its suite of DART technology products in Japan. DoubleClick Inc. will retain one seat on the DoubleClick Japan board of directors.

DoubleClick Japan, which became a public company in April 2001, has annual revenues of 3.25 Japanese Yen and more than 230 clients.
