According to a study from Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and Ovum, brand marketers’ mobile budgets grew 142 percent between 2011 and 2013. In the update to the 2011 “Marketer Perceptions of Mobile Advertising” survey, 32 percent of marketers say they have annual mobile budgets exceeding $300,000, which dwarfs the 7 percent of marketers who had that kind of mobile budget two years ago.

The updated survey finds that 55 percent of the 300 respondents to the survey say they expect their mobile advertising budgets to increase by less than 50 percent in the next two years, while 19 percent say they expect increases of more than 50 percent. This means nearly 3 in 4 marketers expect boosts to their mobile ad budgets in the coming two years
