Continuing to solidify its presence in the food gifts market, Southern Fulfillment Services (SFS) has agreed to buy Citrus Country Groves, which sells direct to consumers via its Holiday Citrus and Orange Blossom Groves titles and operates two stores in Florida.
Just last month SFS bought online retailer Gift Baskets Remembered, and in October it had acquired multichannel merchant Eilenberger Bakery. It also owns food catalogers Pittman & David and Hale Groves, as well as operates a third-party fulfillment provider.
And QC Supply, a distributor of farm equipment and supplies, has purchased Gillis Agricultural Systems, which provides components, parts, and engineering services for farm equipment. Gillis will continue to do business under its own name and will maintain its facilities in Iowa and Minnesota. QC Supply sells via a biannual catalog, a Website, and two stores in Nebraska.
