Sorrento and Precious Cheese Pedal National Sweeps
To encourage healthy snacking, Sorrento Lactalis, Inc., maker of Sorrento and Precious Cheeses, has rolled out a sweepstakes across nearly 1,000 grocery stores nationwide. Sorrento’s “Smart Snack on Wheels” promotion will give away a 26-inch High Timber Schwinn bicycle to one participating customer at each store.
The campaign also dangles a separate nationwide sweepstakes that offers a grand prize family vacation valued at over $3,000 and four Schwinn bicycles. An FSI in 35 million Sunday newspapers goes nationwide on Aug. 28. Entries will be accepted through Dec. 31 via forms on the packs of Sorrento or Precious products or via Stringsters.com. In addition to the grand prize, two first prizes of Schwinn bicycles for a family of four, and 10 second-prize individual bicycles, will be awarded.
“Moms and other busy adults alike want a healthy snack they and their children can feel good about eating,” said Maggie Mathers, product manager at Sorrento Lactalis. “String cheese is nutritious, portable and fun to eat. Through our partnership with Schwinn, we are encouraging an active lifestyle, smart snacking and an activity—— the whole family can enjoy together.”
Promotional P-O-P, developed and managed by Eric Mower and Associates, Buffalo, NY, began rolling out Aug. 1 to participating Pathmark stores. From mid-August through the end of September, the promotion heads to Ingles, BI-LO, Foodmax, Food World, Giant, Martin’s and Tops grocery stores. Customers can automatically enter by using store loyalty cards to purchase Sorrento products, or by mailing in an entry without purchase.
