Simpsons Action Figures in Licensing Agreement

The Simpsons characters will soon come to life thanks to a new licensing agreement between Fox Licensing & Merchandising and McFarlane Toys to bring an all-new line of action figures based on the hit FOX animated series.

The action figures will capture some of the series most legendary moments. The new line of toys will be released in two multi-figure boxed sets this fall. A full product line will fit store shelves in 2006.

“McFarlane toys has an exceptional reputation in the action figure category,” said Peter Byrne, executive VP-licensing and merchandising at FOX, in a statement. “We’re looking forward to developing some really unique products for the huge Simpsons’ fan base out there.”

The Simpsons series debuted on FOX in 1990.The series, which is in its 16th season, is the longest running sitcom and animated show in TV history.
