Shareholders of Shop at Home Inc. have approved E.W. Scripps Co.’s offer to acquire 70% of the firm’s TV retailing network division for $49.5 million.
With this acquisition, the Nashville, TN firm’s name will change to Summit America Television Inc.
The transaction will close on Oct. 31.
