Catalog and DR TV marketer Hydron Technologies Inc., of Pompano Beach, FL, has reported a 23% increase in its first quarter sales to $386,132, despite a 16% decline in catalog sales.
Hydron sells cosmetics and products for skin and oral health. It mails catalogs, generates Web site sales and airs promotions on the QVC network. The decrease in catalog sales resulted from fewer mailings to prior DRTV customers.
During the first quarter Hydron reported its net loss decreased by 21% to $164,971. Last year during the first quarter sales were $313,627, with a net lose of $207,712.
The company says it’s shifting its primary focus to research and development of products and medical applications, based on its recently issued patent for tissue oxygenation technology.
