Primedia’s Intertec Publishing Acquires Two Operations Publications, Conference

Intertec Publishing has purchased the marketing and customer support magazines and trade show of Target Communications, Norwalk, CT. Intertec is the technical and trade publishing division of Primedia, DIRECT Newsline’s parent company.

Terms of the acquisition were not announced.

The two magazines, Operations & Fulfillment and Customer Support Management, will join the Intertec Marketing Division led by division vice president Peter Goldstone. The trade show, National Catalog Operations Forum, will become part of the company’s Exhibitions Division headed by division president Joel Davis. The three properties will be managed from Intertec’s Stamford, CT office.

Customer Support Management focuses on customer support and service solutions for senior management. The magazine is published eight times a year and has a circulation of 42,000.

The bimonthly Operations & Fulfillment is geared toward catalog and direct response operations management professionals. Circulation is 13,000.

The National Catalog Operations Forum is sponsored by Operations & Fulfillment and attracts catalog and direct response fulfillment professionals. NCOF becomes the sixth conference to be jointly owned and produced by Intertec and the Direct Marketing Association. The next show is scheduled for April 2000 in Orlando, FL.
