Plaza Sésamo fans throughout Latin America will soon be able to see characters from the children’s series at Futbolandia, the first soccer theme park in South America.
Plaza Sésamo characters will meet and greet fans on weekends throughout July. Children will receive Plaza Sésamo activity sheets and families will be encouraged to play sports, be active and develop a positive attitude about their bodies. In addition, a music video featuring the characters exercising and having fun will play on video screens throughout the park.
The Futbolandia appearances kick off a three-month Plaza Sésamo campaign in which the characters will visit hospitals, schools, retail outlets and parades throughout Latin America to meet with fans. The activities will culminate in September with the introduction of a new Fisher-Price plush called Enrique Futbolista, which will be introduced in various Latin American countries.
Plaza Sésamo is the Latin American version of Sesame Street.
