People In The News: Telematch, Mocapay, JWT

Telematch Inc. made two promotions within its management team. Gay S. Bitter has been named VP of marketing and client services and Jarom Hagen will serve as VP of information technology. Both promotions are effective immediately.

Bitter joined Telematch in 2009 in the newly created position of director of relationship marketing. Prior to Telematch, she served as director of the ARI Division of CBC Companies. Previously, Bitter was VP of database development at MKTG Services. She also worked in list, database and media planning capacities at American List Counsel, Films for the Humanities & Sciences, and Rapp & Collins USA.

Hagen has been with Telematch since 1999, and has more than 20 years’ experience in computer science and information services.

Marilyn Benson has been named senior VP of national sales at mobile company Mocapay. In this position, Benson will lead the Mocapay sales teams. Mocapay offers mobile-enabled marketing, gift, loyalty, and coupon solutions. Previously, Benson had been an executive VP at Citicorp Diners Club. Before that, she held senior management sales and marketing positions at American Express.

Michael Dezso has joined agency JWT’s Atlanta office as senior partner and director of strategic planning. Dezso joins JWT from BBDO, where he served as VP and senior account planner. In his new role, Dezso will oversee strategy and planning across the office’s clients. He will report directly to JWT’s Atlanta CEO, Ridge White. Prior to BBDO, Dezso worked at Modernista in Boston as co-leader of the strategy and planning department. Dezso has also worked in planning roles at GSD&M and Leo Burnett. He began his career in account management at Ogilvy & Mather.
