Pegasus Sees Boom In Online Holiday Ticket Sales

Online marketer Pegasus Internet, Inc., New York, reported holiday sales increases of between 200% and 600% among its 26 online ticketing clients over 1997 holiday sales.

Online ticket sales increased as a percentage of the total number of tickets sold by each organization, accounting for approximately 7% of all ticket sales, up over 100% from approximately 3% last year.

Approximately 80% of all online ticketing customers were first-time buyers. The majority of the patrons also joined online mailing databases as part of their order process These names will reportedly be used for future targeted e-mail marketing efforts.
