PC Connection Inc. has acquired Amherst Technologies LLC for $7.7 million in cash. Most of the acquired assets, including customer relationships, furniture, fixtures and equipment will be combined with PC Connection’s subsidiary MoreDirect Inc.
Amherst Technologies has become a division of MoreDirect under the direction of Jim Garrity, president of MoreDirect, which like PC Connection is a direct marketer of information technology products.
The acquisition expands MoreDirect’s reach in the median and large corporate customer segment.
