Ohio High Court Fines So-Called Living Trust DMers

The Supreme Court of Ohio has fined two companies and their owners nearly 6.4 million of $6,387,990 against two companies and their co-owners for allegedly illegally direct marketing living trusts and other estate planning documents.

In a 7-0 decision, the Court found that American Family Prepaid Legal Corp., Heritage Marketing and Insurance Services Inc., their co-owners, Jeffrey and Stanley Norman, and multiple employees of those firms engaged in more than 3,800 acts of unauthorized law practice by virtue of their participation in a
