Office Depot Dangles Trump-Style Getaway
Donald Trump is everywhere and now his famous New York hotel is being trumpeted in an Office Depot sweepstakes promotion targeting the office products and services company’s small business customers.
The promotion kicked off last weekend and runs through Nov. 26 at more than 900 Office Depot stores across the country. Shoppers get the chance to win a Donald Trump-themed first class trip to the Big Apple.
The grand-prize winner gets round-trip airfare for two; four days and three nights accommodations at the Trump International Hotel and Tower; a 30-minute helicopter tour of the city’s landmarks; a six-hour private guided limousine tour covering Trump-themed locations and an HP digital camera to take all those memories home. Fifty first-prize winners get a $500 Office Depot gift card and 100 second-prize winners get a $50 Office Depot gift card.
Small-business customers are Office Depots No. 1 customer segment.
“We think this sweepstakes is a great way to remind them how we’re supporting their business objectives as well as to help them have a little fun in the process,” said Office Depot Spokesperson Brian Levine.
The incentive is supported by 30 million Office Depot inserts and POS counter cards in all U.S. stores. In addition, radio spots in 29 markets will drive listeners to visit retail locations.
In a related tie-in, Office Depot sponsors the Trumped! With Donald Trump radio feature that airs weekdays on more than 400 stations internationally. On the show, which began June 15, The Donald shares his wisdom and wit with segments spanning business and non-business topics, including exclusive commentary on Trump’s now-famous Seven Rules for Success.
