Octagon Athletes Acquires CSMG’s Baseball and Master’s Units
Octagon Athletes & Personalities, division on Interpublic group, has struck a deal to buy CSMG’s Baseball and Master’s divisions to significantly improve Octagon’s representation profile.
CSMG Chairman Alan Nero and the company’s vice president of baseball, Scott Pucino and nine of their agents will be joining Octagon. The deal will bring Octagon 140 more clients, including Major League Baseball stars such as the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Randy Johnson , the New York Yankees’ Chien-Ming Wang, the Cleveland Indians’ Victor Martinez and managers Lou Pinella (Chicago Cubs) and the Tamp Bay Rays’ Joe Maddon. CSMG also represents minor league baseball players.
CSMG’s Masters clients include NFL Hall of Famers Gale Sayers, Bart Starr and Andre Tippett. Octagon already counts John Elway and Ronnie Lott among its clients.
