PANASONIC: has, for the fourth year in a row, named Xperience Communications, to produce its brand experience at the International Consumer Electronics Show, scheduled to be held in January 2009 in Las Vegas. For the past three years, Xperience has produced main stage presentations and new technology demonstrations for Panasonic’s one-and-a-half-football-field-long exhibit area. Highlights have included the world’s largest-high definition plasma wall and creating a virtual jazz café.
GRAND CENTRAL MARKETING: has promoted Ted Skala to vice president, design and production, from director of design and production. Skala, 34, has been with the agency since 2005. He has spearheaded the build and design of many campaigns, including the Tweety Boutique for client Warner Bros, the Teletubbies pop-up shop, and the set for the Robert Mondavi “Discover Wine” tour. He also created The Napster Garage, and Napster Purrlesque Lounge, which won the “Best Booth” award at the DigitalLife expo in consecutive years.
