PILE & CO. CONSULTING: has promoted Judy Neer to president of the Boston-based agency search firm, from managing partner. Neer joined Pile in 1996 as senior consultant. Her promotion “is long overdue,” said Pile Cos. President-CEO Rick Hooker in a statement. “Our leading position in the Agency Selection business is largely the result of Judy’s leadership and keen understanding of client-agency relationships.” Pile primarily handles ad agency reviews.
CONSUMER NETWORKS: A San Diego-based network of newspaper development groups, said that USAToday.com has decided to use the company’s online coupon solution, Boodle, on its web site. Visitors to the Web site now have access to offers from consumer brands such as SC Johnson, Kimberly-Clark and General Mills. Boodle is available through a network of 281 newspaper Web sites.
ANC SPORTS: Has signed a deal with the MLB Washington Nationals to provide rotational signage for its sponsors at RFK Stadium for the 2005 season. ANC will install and operate its 20-foot home plate rotational signage, as well as 40-foot rotational modules in the first and third base foul areas. Each of the rotational systems will have the capacity to hold 25 advertising messages.
