NBC OLYMPICS: has promoted Gary Zenkel to president of NBC Olympics effective Dec. 7. He had been the executive VP of NBC Olympics since 2001. Zenkel will be responsible for all business matters related to the Olympics, including new media initiatives, marketing and promotion, technical operations and strategic business alliances. He is also involved with managing General Electric’s Olympic sponsorship interests

COTT CORP: will close its Columbus, OH, manufacturing plant as of March 2006. Seventy jobs will be cut as part of the company’s previously announced North American realignment plan.

GIORGIO ARMANI: said that Giorgio Armani Parfums and Cosmetics will launch Giorgioarmanibeauty.com. The global launch marks the first time that the entire collection of fragrances and cosmetics from the Giorgio Armani group will be shown together online. E-commerce will be available for the full collection of Giorgio Armani fragrances and cosmetics to ship within the United States. Previously, Giorgio Armani cosmetics were only available at a limited number of physical retail locations around the country.

CHRISTOPHER & BANKS CORP.: CEO and Chairman Bill Prange has resigned from his position citing health reasons. The resignation was effective immediately. Prange will serve in an advisory capacity for the company. Larry Barenbaum, lead director of the company, will become chairman. Joseph Pennington was named as the apparel company’s new CEO and Matthew Dillon as its president and chief merchandising officer.
