PROSTORES: and Entrepreneur magazine have launched the eBusiness Boost Challenge, a contest that will help six small online companies grow their businesses. The winners will learn how to build, maintain and manage an online store, including how to drive customers to their site, accept online payments and efficiently manage inventory and fulfill online orders. A division of eBay, ProStores is soliciting qualified small business merchants to enter the contest from March 1-April 21, 2006. Eligible applicants must fill out a 250-word essay on why they need assistance in creating, or improving their business and e-commerce sales channel and online storefront.
MARC USA: Pittsburgh, has launched a cause-marketing division at the ad agency. MARC Cause Brands will broker partnerships between non-profits and marketers; it’s led by Managing Director Mary Hollock, who is based in MARC’s Dallas office. MARC is working with non-profits including the Afterschool Alliance, the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American Dental Association Foundation, the American Diabetes Association, the Flight 93 National Memorial Project, the Forsyth Institute, the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation, the Magee Health Research Institute, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, the March of Dimes and the Skin Cancer Foundation.
