BELLSOUTH: has launched a 411 Sweepstakes dangling a Pontiac Solstice as the grand prize. Customers become eligible by registering their home phone number at BellSouth.com/411care. Afterwards, customers receive additional automatic entries each time they dial 411 from their registered number. The company will also award five 12-month subscriptions of BellSouth FastAccess DSL Ultra as part of the sweeps. During the promotion, a BellSouth 411 Pontiac Solstice will be displayed around the Southeastern U.S. at shopping malls, sporting events and community festivals. The sweeps ends Aug. 31.
AMC THEATRES: is offering free movies this summer as part of the chain’s Summer MovieCamp promotion. MovieCamp features free G and PG-rated movies on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. starting June 21 through Aug. 9 in 40 cities nationwide. Tickets are available up to a week in advance at 125 AMC Theatres. Feature films include Racing Stripes, Ice Age, Dreamer, Madagascar and Shrek 2. Sponsors include Suave and Kimberly Clark’s GoodNites Underpants. Cartoon Network handles pre-show entertainment featuring Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends.
