The NBA will use its All-Star Weekend, in Denver Feb. 18-20, to heavily promote its cable TV network, NBA TV, NBA spokesman David Cooper told PROMO.
NBA TV will be promoted at such league-sponsored events as the All-Star Game and the NBA Jam Session fan festival, as well as in hotels, bars, restaurants and on buses in and around Denver.
Highlights include NBA TV video-on-demand demos in high-definition on 16′ X 9′ screens and more than 25 plasma monitors at the Jam Session; NBA TV bag stuffers at the Jam Session store; free interactive NBA TV CDs; and “NBA TV Presents” branded time-outs during the game. Also, the NBA TV logo will be projected onto the Pepsi Center.
About 6,000 hotel rooms will have NBA TV available, and NBA TV tent cards will be in bars and restaurants. The logo will also appear on the side of 15 All-Star limos, and buses will be wrapped with NBA TV info.
