Whitney Education Group
Macromark Inc. has assumed management of group of lists for Whitney Education Group Inc. Master files are available for 2004, 2005 and through September of this year. The count for latest master file stands at 285,000. Other files covered under this appointment include the Whitney Wealth Education Group’s lists of education opportunity buyers, seminar responders and the Whitney Wealth Intelligence Buyers list, with counts ranging from 15,000 to 250,000 from the last 12 months. The sources are direct response TV (95%) and direct mail (5%). Whitney has also appointed MetaResponse Group to manage another group of lists identifying investors. (Direct Listline Sept. 21). Australian winery Sirromet Wines has released a list of 44,856 mail order buyers in Japan. These buyers spent the equivalent of at least $43 (U.S.) in the last 24 months for Australian wine shipments to home addresses in Japan. Data is provided in Kanji characters used in the Japanese language. Reciprocal list rental may be required.

SK&A Hiring for Planned Expansion
SK&A Information Services Inc. plans to expand its staff by 25% before the end of this year to accommodate anticipated growth in the healthcare data market, according Chris Lundgren, executive vice president.
New hires at the Irvine, CA-based firm will include a new director of marketing, in addition to sales and support staff.
SK&A plans to expand in the pharmaceutical, continuing medical education, e-mail services and data reseller markets. It recently hired two new senior account managers.
MeritDirect Moves Chicago Offices
MeritDirect’s Chicago offices will be relocated on Sept. 28. Its new 32,000-square-foot space is located at 1007 Church St., Suite 550, Evanston, IL. All phone numbers will remain the same. Employees are expected to be reachable during the move. MeritDirect requests that callers phone corporate headquarters at 914-368-1000, in event of any unanticipated phone problems.
