The Direct Marketing Association’s List and Database Council named Deb Goldstein, president of IDG List Services, as the 2005 List Leader of the Year. The award recognizes outstanding contributions to the list and database industry.
Goldstein has been an employee of IDG List Services for 19 years. She built her business unit from a list management operation of 10 lists to 80 postal and e-mail files today that represent IDG and non-IDG clients. IDG List Services is a division of International Data Group, a technology media, research, and event company.
In February 1995, she launched a brokerage division, which currently has more than 65 clients. In August 1996, Goldstein took a leadership role in the promotion of best practices in e-mail marketing as IDG List Services launched the first ethical response-based e-mail rental program on the list market.
Goldstein serves as a member of the List and Database Council, and is on the Board of Directors of the List Leaders Group.
“I am thrilled with Deb’s selection for this prestigious award,” said Linda Huntoon, chair of The DMA List and Database Council, and executive vice president of Direct Media, in a statement. “Deb has always gone out of her way to serve the industry – first in the emerging high tech arena, and now in the e-commerce world. “
Goldstein will receive her award at the List Leader of the Year awards dinner, which is scheduled for Aug. 3 at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.
