Hundreds Soap Up for Old Spice Body Wash

Posted on

Fox Sports Net and Old Spice spent the summer looking for the perfect “high endurance” guy. He had to prove himself by lathering up in the shower with Old Spice body wash while singing an American classic for an audience of hundreds of thousands.

Some 228 local baseball fans from 19 cities did just that in a portable shower while singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during live coverage. Through Sept. 14, viewers can watch the “best of the best” contestants during the network’s coverage. One regional winner from each of the 19 cities has been entered into the national “Shower, Sing and Win” competition. The winner will be crowned the 2003 Old Spice High Endurance Guy and win a trip to Los Angeles to appear on Fox Sports Net’s Best Damn Sports Show Period.

The promotion supports the launch of Old Spice High Endurance Body Wash, introduced in February. Old Spice is a product of Cincinnati-based Procter & Gamble.

Streaming video is available of each of the 19 regional winners at www.oldspice.com. Visitors can vote for their favorite sudser or enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win $10,000 through Sept. 15.

The first rendition of the promotion took place last summer in five markets to support the launch of Old Spice High Endurance Soap.

Rainbow Sports Network, a 50% partner is Fox Sports Net, created the promotion.
