Hallmark Channel Sponsors “Mysteries” Sweep

The Hallmark Channel is giving mystery buffs and amateur detectives a chance to guess ‘who-dunit’ and win $10,000 via a new watch-and-win sweepstakes.

The Hallmark Channel Mystery Movie Sweepstakes, which kicks off Jan. 7, lets viewers piece together clues to solve the crime before the on-screen detective. Consumers can pre-register online at Hallmarkchannelmysteries.com to receive extra clues by e-mail, telephone or via the Internet.

Viewers who tune into the weekly movie during the four-week promotion and correctly solve the mystery will be entered in the sweepstakes. Each week, one grand-prize winner will receive $10,000.

The promotion touts the Hallmark Channel’s mystery movie lineup with the goal of encouraging sampling and viewership of the channel itself, according to Andy Karofsky, Hallmark Channel’s VP-marketing.

Random drawings will take place each week from a pool of eligible entries. The sweepstakes ends on Jan. 28. Online, print and TV support. Westport, CT-based Concept One is handling the sweepstakes.

The Hallmark Channel is a 24-hour basic cable channel that provides entertainment programming to 65 million subscribers nationwide. Nearly 4,500 cable systems and communities and home satellite services across the country distribute the service.
