FedEx Net Income Falls 30%

FedEx Corp. reported net income of $345 million for the second quarter, a 30% decrease from $493 million last year.

The shipping giant posted revenue of $8.6 billion, for the quarter ended Nov. 30, a 10% decrease from $9.54 billion in the prior year.

The Memphis Co. reported operating income for its FedEx Express segment of $345 million, a 36% decrease from $540 million last year.

The unit posted revenue of $5.31 billion for the quarter, a 13% decrease from $6.10 billion in the prior year.
