Federated Department Stores Inc. plans to shutter its 250-employee Washington, DC distribution center in Spring, 2007 and said will be “working to identify other positions for affected employees.”
The Cincinnati-based direct marketing and retail giant said it will offer “severance packages and outplacement assistance” to employees who are laid off as a result of the closing.
This closure will follow that of five Federated distribution centers slated for this summer in which 750 employees will be laid off. The parent company of Macy
