EBay and Family Circle Kick Off Small Space Design Contest

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

EBay and Family Circle magazine are out with a contest that looks for a resourceful consumer who can redesign a small space using only items purchased on eBay.

The eBay & Family Circle’s Designing Small Spaces Contest can be entered at FamilyCircle.com/
smallspace
or at eBay.com/smallspace. Entrants must submit, in 250 words or less, their ideas about how to creatively redesign a small space using items purchased on eBay.com. A before picture must be included and the space to be redesigned can not exceed 150 square feet.

Four finalists will be awarded $2,000 to purchase items on eBay to complete the makeover. The grand-prize winner, voted on by the eBay community, gets an additional $5,000.

Interested parties can register and submit their entries through Sept. 5. The four finalists will be notified around Oct. 3 with the $2,000 put into their PayPal accounts. Finalists receive consultations from an interior designer and have until Dec. 15 to complete the makeover and submit it for final judging. On Jan. 8, 2007, the eBay community will judge the finalists’ “before” and “after” photos to select the grand-prize winner.

Strobe Promotions, Hicksville, NY, is handling the contest.
