Dover Saddlery Income Rises 56%

Dover Saddlery Inc. posted net income of $272,000 for the third quarter, a 56% increase from $174,000 in the prior year.

The direct marketer and retailer reported revenue of $18.5 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, a 2.5% decrease from $19 million last year.

“I am pleased to report that during the third quarter of 2009, we successfully continued with our cost reduction initiatives and thus were able to show a 56% increase in net income,” said Stephen L. Day, CEO, in a statement.
