Goldberg Moser O’Neill, San Francisco, has resigned from the $70 million Dell Computer account. In the 11-year relationship, GMO took Dell from a 900 calls a day company generating $159 million to a 300,000 calls or Web site hits a day generating $18.2 billion.
GMO had been responsible for marketing for nine Dell divisions. Dell had informed GMO that one division, Home and Small Business Systems, was under review. However, GMO has resigned from servicing all nine.
Partly owned by The Interpublic Group, New York, GMO posts move than $500 million in billings. Its client list includes Coca-Cola, Kia Motors America, LucasArts Entertainment Co., and National Semiconductor Corp.
