The Dannon Co, Inc. has named Juan Carlos Dalto as president and CEO, effective immediately.
Dalto, 39, succeeds Thomas Kunz, 47, who was recently promoted to executive VP of the Groupe Danone Water and Beverage Division. Groupe Danone is the parent of yogurt producer Dannon.
In his new role, Dalto will be responsible for dairy products in the United States and Canada. He joined Groupe Danone in December 1997 working as the marketing VP for Danone Argentina before rising to CEO of Danone Portugal in 2000. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Danone Italia. Dannon is headquartered in Tarrytown, NY.
