Blockbuster and MasterCard Join Up for Movie Pass Program

MasterCard International and Blockbuster have kicked off a nationwide sweepstakes, Weekends Matter More at Blockbuster, in support of the national launch of the Blockbuster Movie Pass.

Consumers who use their MasterCards at participating Blockbuster stores to purchase the Movie Pass or any other rental or retail product from now through July 5, will automatically be entered for a chance to win a four-day, three-night trip for four to a Hollywood Universal Pictures movie premiere. The winner’s trip will include round-trip air, hotel accommodations, a makeover, a sightseeing tour, a lunch and $4,000 spending money.

MasterCard will promote the sweeps on www.mastercard.com. P-O-P, e-newsletters and DVD inserts support.

The Blockbuster Movie Pass is a subscription rental program that enables consumers to pay one low monthly fee and rent as many movies as they want, up to two or three at a time depending on the plan selected, with no due dates or extended viewing fees.
