BK Revamps Operation

Burger King Corp. is reorganizing U.S. operations to form nine geographic divisions.

The revamp—to improve in-store service system-wide—puts a new division VP in charge of service and training for each region. Four division VPs report to Rick Silva, senior VP-franchise operations for the Eastern zone, and five report to his Western zone counterpart Joe Soraci. Miami-based BK also keeps a franchise business leader in each region (the old title was “franchise business manager”) to oversee franchisee relations and training.

Marketing staffers support division VPs as part of a cross-functional team at headquarters. The new division VPs are Jim Joy, Bob Kozura, Joe Christina, Rich Wyckoff, Richard Coats, Angel Herrera, Diana Petrovich-Tao, Ann Striker and Todd Bartmess.
