Steven A. Lightman, who had until recently served as president of the Crosstown Traders Inc.unit of Charming Shoppes, has left the company. Joseph M. Baron, executive vice president and COO, has assumed the responsibility of interim president of Crosstown Traders, Inc., the Company’s direct-to-consumer business.
Charming Shoppes has initiated an immediate search for a President of Crosstown Traders.
Baron has held his current position since 2002. His coareer includes a 30-year stint with Sears, Roebuck and Co.
During the past year, Charming Shoppes has taken steps to integrate Crosstown Traders into its operations, consolidating the company’s catalog business in Tucson, AZ, and integrating Crosstown Traders’ backroom support functions into Charming Shoppes business service center.
The company is gearing up to launch a catalog for its Lane Bryant operations in fall 2007.
