Atlas Expands in Ad Tech Market Through Acquisition

Atlas, a Seattle-based digital marketing technology firm, has acquired for $30 million Accipiter, an online advertising technology firm located in Raleigh, NC.

Accipiter’s capabilities include behavioral targeting and rich media for brand and direct response advertising. It sells online ad serving technologies to Web publishers in more than 20 countries.

Brian Handly, CEO and co-founder of Accipiter will become senior vice president of Atlas.

“We believe Accipiter will accelerate Atlas’s opportunity and impact in the market,” said in a statement Karl Kiebrecht president of Atlas.
