American Express and Visit Florida, a tourism-promotion group have formed a strategic agreement to attract more tourists to the state. The deal will include direct marketing to domestic and international American Express card holders with special travel offers for hotel accommodations, airfare, car rentals and retail purchases.
Nationwide television, newspaper and magazine advertising is also planned, along with statewide co-branding with Florida tourism merchants. A toll-free number will be displayed on AmEx print and television ads, which will link consumers directly to local travel agents who can book trips instantly.
