Film producer Blowtorch Entertainment and promotional agency Alloy Media + Marketing (AM+M) announced a strategic partnership for various content offerings launching in early 2008.
The companies will develop and execute media and campaigns aimed at raising awareness and building excitement among college audiences for upcoming Blowtorch feature films and the company’s related online and offline offerings.
Blowtorch (http://bigscreen.blowtorch.com/) is targeting 18- to 24-year-olds through a variety of channels – online, in theaters, at live events and on mobile devices. AM+M is one of the country’s largest providers of media and marketing programs reaching targeted consumer segments.
AM+M plans various campus touchpoints incorporating both traditional and non-traditional media, including on-campus events, guerrilla marketing efforts, out-of-home media and college newspaper placement. The two companies said they will collaborate on creative messaging designed to incite audience involvement in Blowtorch content and events.
Blowtorch was established by senior executives in entertainment, technology and advertising from firms including Leo Burnett, MTV, Ogilvy & Mather, Starcom MediaVest Group, Verizon and major Hollywood studios. It secured more than $50 million in initial funding.
