Aegis Communications Group Inc. reported a 22% increase in revenues in the fourth quarter of 2005 with $22 million in revenues, compared to $18 million in the last quarter of 2004. But that only reduced the teleservices firm’s losses for the year.
Irving, TX-based Aegis reported a net loss of $13.1 million for the 2005 fiscal year. Revenues from continuing operations were $68.6 million for the most recent fiscal year, compared to $94.3 million for fiscal 2004.
Last year’s losses were the result reduced demand for services from longtime clients. These losses were partially offset by increases in healthcare-related call services.
Aegis initiated teleservices programs for three new clients at the end of 2005: PharmaCare, Humana and NationsHealth. The first two programs are being expanded, but the NationsHealth program has been cancelled.
Roughly 90% of Aegis’ revenues in 2005 were derived from inbound services. Outbound services were responsible for nearly 25% of revenues the previous year.
