Stacey Girt, the former president of AccuData America, has left the company. Robert K. Sher, who is CEO and co-founder of AccuData’s parent firm, Primis Marketing Group, will serve as interim president. Girt had been with AccuData for 18 months. Chicago-based Primis acquired AccuData in June 2003.
Executive search firm Spencer Stuart is conducting a nationwide search for Girt’s ultimate successor. The company expects to name a new AccuData president by the end of the first quarter 2004.
In an interview, Sher said that an ideal candidate would live in Fort Myers, where the AccuData is based, and have an industry background as well as managerial experience within a company as large – or larger – than AccuData.
The new president’s primary responsibility would be continuing AccuData’s growth. According to Sher, AccuData recorded double-digit growth during the second-half of 2003, starting when Primus purchased the business. The rate is twice that of its growth during the first six months of the year.
