Yard-Man Teams Up with NASCAR

Yard-Man has signed a deal with the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing naming the company the official lawn mower of NASCAR.

The three-year agreement, which starts with the 2007 season, builds off the company’s presence in motorsports. Under the deal, the NASCAR logo will be emblazoned on all Yard-Man packaging. The company will also have category exclusivity.

In return, Yard-Man will continue to support the NASCAR-themed marketing program continuing its sponsorship of the NASCAR Busch Series team and with NASCAR-themed advertising.

“Yard-Man embodies characteristics synonymous with racing—speed, power, handling and performance,” said Jim O’Connell, NASCAR’s vice president of corporate marketing, in a statement.

Yard-Man will be the primary sponsor of the No. 37 Ford Fusion in the 2007 NASCAR Busch Series.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
